ZOO Zlín and Lešná Castle

ZOO Zlín is a unique place where you can see animals from all continents. Animals live in the successful imitation of their original environment. There are special elephants, giraffes and hippos pavilions. Birds live in bird aviaries, mammals are exposed in natural exposures. You can observe elephants, giraffes, rhinos, zebras, Asian tigers, bears and gibbons, wallabies, ostriches, but also South American parrots, anteaters or llamas. In a new tropical hall Yucatan between flora and fauna you will see the memory of the Mayan civilization, the former inhabitants of Yucatan Peninsula.

It is said that Lešná Castle is one of the most beautiful places in Moravia. There is a snakes, lizards, turtles exhibition and fish aquarium in the lower floor of the castle. There is also a beautiful castle park more than 200 years old. Visitors are attracted by its English style of a 1150 species of rare trees and ornamental plants. Park with lots of flowers, ponds, fountains and waterfalls is one of the most valuable dendrologically castle parks in Moravia. It is one of the most popular places for weddings in Moravia. Wedding ceremonies are reserved a very long time in advance. Lešná Castle is famous for wooden interior decorations and large porcelain and silver collections.
